Jawa motorcycles in India: the revival of an icon2 min read

Jawa, the iconic Czech motorcycle brand has been revived in India, 22 years after it closed its operations in 1996. Classic Legends, owned by Mahindra, has the rights to make, brand and sell motorcycles in India under the Jawa brand name.

Now, credits to Jawa bikes, Indian buyers will have a new alternative in the cruiser segment, other than Royal Enfield. There is a third competitor in the pipeline as well – the Benelli Imperiale 400, launched today.
After Jawa, the Benelli Imperiale 400 is the second direct rival against the Classic 350 in the same price point. The cruiser segment in India is set to get interesting!

Design of Jawa motorcycle models

Premium Italian engineering defines the Jawa motorcycles. The design is robust and timeless, very similar to the old classic Jawas sold in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
The retro styling cues and relatively old-school components give the motorcycle a distinctive, unforgettable look.

Jawa motorcycle models and colors

Classic Legends has launched two models of Jawa in India – Jawa Forty Two and Jawa 300. The Jawa 300 sports a lot of chrome and handlebar integrated headlight assembly while the Jawa 42 features youthful shades and a separate headlight.
